Having a freshwater lake as an outdoor ‘playground’ is just another reason to love owning at Wilderness Club. Stocked with over 4,000 rainbow trout, it is a great place to enjoy catch-and-release fishing with your kids or grandkids either from the boat dock, the shoreline or a canoe. If paddling a canoe, kayak or standup paddleboard sounds like a relaxing way to spend the morning or afternoon, Wilderness Lake is just minutes from your home either on foot, by bike or driving over in your golf cart.
If you own a Lakeside Cabin, you can simply sit on your deck overlooking the lake while visiting with neighbors or just getting lost in a good book. Since Wilderness Lake isn’t very deep, it is ideal for taking a swim because the water temperature stays fairly moderate throughout the summer and even into autumn. The community doesn’t allow motorized watercraft on the lake, which makes for a peaceful paddle, especially in the early morning or late summer twilight. Walk its shoreline with your kids or grandkids and you’ll come upon Painted Turtles and frogs, proof that they like living here as much as you do.
