No question that Northwestern Montana is a sledder’s paradise. The Flathead Valley alone has over 200 miles of groomed snowmobile trails as well as 2,000 miles of Forest Service and logging roads as your winter playground. A 60-mile loop in the Purcell Mountains joins the Pete Creek Trail in offering even more snowmobile terrain for Wilderness Club owners to explore. Just 30 minutes to the southeast of our community, Great Northern Powder Guides invites Wilderness Club residents and their guests to ride around the Stillwater State Forest, an unforgettable backcountry adventure in Montana’s oldest and largest forest.
For those feeling more adventurous drive east to the Marias Pass Trail Complex inside Glacier National Park. Rugged and remote, the area features terrain that appeals to both intermediate and experienced riders. Comprised of 45 miles of groomed trails and 35 miles of ungroomed trails, it is spectacularly beautiful. With its stunning views of the Cabinet Mountains, the Keeler-Rattle Trail System on the northeast side of Kootenai Country is another treat for riders and the Ten Lakes Scenic area offers world-class sledding. Our concierge can arrange a full day or half-day snowmobiling trip for you and your family.
